Most backyards don't fail because of bad bones - they fail because nothing ties together. No defined space to sit, no reason to stay outside after dark, no planting beds to soften the hardscape. That's exactly what we set out to fix here.

We installed a large-format paver patio that wraps the back of the home and connects to a dedicated fire pit seating area. The pavers themselves have a clean, slate-look finish that holds up season after season without looking dated. The layout gives the homeowner distinct zones - a covered pergola area for everyday use, and a more open fire pit zone for evenings with family and friends.

The landscape installation is what really pulls it all together. We laid out curved planting beds along the patio edge and filled them with flowering shrubs, perennials, and ground cover. Low-voltage pathway lighting runs through the beds and along the patio, so the space works just as well at night as it does during the day. These are the details that separate a patio you use from a patio you just look at.

We take this stuff seriously. Every project we build is something we want to be proud of years down the road - because that's exactly how long these patios last when they're done right. The fire feature, the lighting, the planting plan - none of it is an afterthought. It's all part of the design from day one.
